George’s St Arcade

I saw her today for the first time in years
by the George’s Street Arcade
cue the flicker, and there’s the warmth

it all floods in with a wash of sin
and monochromatic light
she may have the pictures, but I have the night

and by the time I recognised her face
to late to turn around and give chase
and now that she’s gone
I wander around by the George’s Street Arcade

There’s a map of my wounds that I only roll out
When the tactics get old and I’m losing out
I blew up your bridges, but you annexed my heart
